Student, Parent & Teacher Interviews
On Tuesday Week 2 we had Learning Conversations across all year levels. Learning Conversations are valuable discussions to reflect on progress, acknowledge achievement and plan for future learning. The evening was well attended by students and parents/caregivers with our highest engagement on-record in recent years. We welcome and thank Parents and Caregivers for the constructive partnership with teachers, to enhance students’ learning. This is a key part for students’ learning and continued success. Please communicate with subject teachers around any learning queries you may have.
Cross Site Moderation Pupil Free Day Tuesday, 10th June
Providing an opportunity for staff to collaborate with other sites gives staff an opportunity to share resources and have professional conversations about consistency in assessment of student work. The intention of the Pupil Free Day on Tuesday, 10th June is to provide staff from Kapunda High School time to work with Nuriootpa High School to ensure consistency and integrity in assessment through moderation process. Additionally, staff will have the opportunity to share and discuss individual assessment tasks with an emphasis on accessibility for all students, while providing challenge and stretch.
Open Night
Preparations are well underway for our KHS Open Night where prospective families and students have the opportunity to visit Kapunda High School and meet a range of teachers and leaders. The format has changed from previous years with self-guided tours beginning from 4:00pm on Tuesday, 20th May.
Governing Council Meeting
Our next Governing Council meeting is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, 21st May.
At the meeting we will be discussing a number of items to continue progressing our school. This includes dialogue around our School Improvement planning, such as Achievement, Attendance and Behaviour strategies as well as long-term finance, policy and asset advancement of our school.
Let’s keep working together to ensure an environment where every young person can learn, grow, achieve and strive for their best.
