On Tuesday, 3rd June our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Learners visited the Barossa Bushgardens for a special Reconciliation Week event. Students were able to learn from Ngadjuri Elder, Quenten Agius, Peramangk woman, Courtney Hunter-Hebberman, Kaurna man, James Agius and Arrernte man Sonny Moray about many interesting topics. History and stories were shared, lessons on how the right fire can heal country, and knowledge about traditional tools and their uses for hunting, culture and ceremony. Students enjoyed a lunch of damper served with native jams.
