From our Principal

Welcome Back to Term 3
We hope everyone had a restful break and is returning refreshed and ready for another engaging and productive term. Term 3 promises to be full of exciting opportunities for growth, achievement, and learning. As always, we are committed to ensuring every student thrives in a safe and supportive environment, and we look forward to continuing the positive momentum from Term 2.
Last term we saw:
- Highest number of Personal Best Awards on record – increasing steadily from 96 in Term 2 2023 to 131 in Term 2 this year
- Increase in whole school attendance: 89.55% up from 86.96% in Term 1, and well above 82.25% for the same time last year
- Sustained A to C grade improvement over the past two years
- Increase in the number of Positive Recognitions give out to students across Term 2
The Importance of Attendance and Effort
Daily attendance and consistent effort are key to academic success. Students who attend regularly and apply themselves in class are far more likely to reach their full potential. As we start this term, we encourage students to set clear goals, stay focused, and maintain high standards for behaviour and learning. Every lesson counts – let’s make every minute matter.

Conditions for Learning – Reset for Success
With some timetable changes and updates to class structures, this is the perfect time for our staff and students to reset classroom and school expectations. Early this term we will be emphasising the following:
- Expectations for learning.
- Publishing assessment deadlines for classes.
- Revisit our Responsible Behaviour Policy, Mobile Phone and Technology Policy, and Whole-School Expectations (punctuality, student movement, bags and engagement).
School Rebuild Update
We have now moved into our new classrooms that include three general teaching spaces, middle school art room and office space for teachers. It is exciting that this has been delivered on time and looks amazing. It provides an opportunity for us to continuing growing our Middle School Culture and we anticipate our Year 8 Homegroups will begin utilising the new space very soon.
We’re excited for another successful term filled with learning, development, and school pride. Let’s continue striving for excellence in all that we do.
