Bus Travel Changes & Information for 2022
With additional students travelling to KHS by bus, there will be some change in bus routes for 2022. Though bus routes are yet to be finalised, please check the following information and click on the link to view bus stops and times.
There will be a new bus next year, driven by Mr Lance Swan, which will travel to school from Roseworthy and through Freeling. The first bus stop will be at the park, opposite the Roseworthy Primary School and will mainly collect the 2022 year 7 and 8 students. Travelling to Freeling, this bus will then collect students at the Freeling bus shelter and continue around various Freeling township stops. Current students should get on at either their usual stop, or if a new stop appears on the list and it’s closer to their home - they should get on there. If unsure, please contact Kaye Clancy at school on 8566 2203 for clarification.
The current Freeling/Fords bus with driver, Wayne Betterman, has changed route and will be running about fifteen minutes earlier than this year. Students must ensure they arrive at their usual stop about 20 minutes earlier than they do this year.
Freeling Link SA bus driver, Andrew Mickan, is retiring as of the end of this year and we thank Andrew for his many years of service. At this stage, we do not know who will be driving this bus next year, but at this stage the Fiddlewood Drive route hasn’t changed.
The Wasleys – Templers route with driver, Chris Betterman, has changed slightly. This bus will not be collecting students from:
- the Freeling/Templers Road on the outskirts of Freeling, as the Roseworthy bus will do so.
- the Gap Road, Greenock, as the Freeling bus (driver, Wayne Betterman) will do so.
The View Street bus, with driver, Andrew Wright, will change from a small bus to a large, 57 seat bus.
The View Street bus stop will collect around 70 students. Wayne Betterman will collect students at the earlier time and Andrew Wright will collect the remainder at a later time.
Due to the considerable planning involved, students must catch the bus closest to their home, rather than choose another stop themselves.
Please be reminded, should a bus break down, students must remain at the bus stop as another bus will always come along this route to collect students.
